We love photography!

and helping people too.

Easy techniques anyone can follow!

I created this site because I love photography—but years ago, after a successful career with traditional film, I put down the heavy cameras and embraced the simplicity of my smartphone. Honestly, I’m not super tech-savvy, which my kids can tell you all about, and I spent ages searching for easy-to-understand smart phone photo tips… only to find stuff that was way too complicated or full of confusing tech jargon. So, I decided to make this site for people like me—who want to take great photos without the headaches.

It turns out, there are lots of us! Young and Old. Here, we keep things simple, fun, and friendly so everyone can feel confident capturing amazing moments.

With decades of photography experience behind me, including all the basic principles such as composition and lighting, I’ve designed this site to make learning new skills easy, fun, and totally doable—no matter your experience level.

Here, you’ll discover how to create “Intentional Imagery” — a fancy way of saying you’ll learn to see the world (and the people in it) in a whole new, amazing way. Get ready for a fresh perspective that’ll change how you capture life’s best moments!

📸 Our Images

Almost every photo you see on this website was taken with a cell phone by our team—yes, really! We sometimes share a Fan Photo to highlight creative techniques from our amazing community. Every now and then, you might spot an image taken with a traditional camera. That’s because, long before smartphones took over, we were already snapping away with film and early digital gear. We still use some of those older photos to illustrate ideas—but don’t worry, you can absolutely create a similar shot with your phone using the tips we share here. If a photo wasn’t taken with a smartphone, we’ll note it clearly right below the image. That way, you’ll always know what tools were used—no guessing needed!

Great, now that we have our passions, all that history, and those pesky disclaimers out of the way, let’s go back to the beginning!

(Thanks for listening by the way, that was super cool of you!)
